TN Visa to Green Card Approval (7 Months) - Marriage to U.S. Citizen

Applicant was working in the U.S. under valid TN visa status.
Applicant married a U.S. citizen.

Reviewed case to assess the merits of the green card application. The applicant and their spouse had sufficient documentation evidencing the bona fides of their marriage, and therefore, should not have an issue securing approval of the I-130 petition.
The U.S. citizen had sufficient enough income to meet the I-864, Affidavit of Support income requirements.

Employment Authorization Document (EAD) issued in May 2025 valid for 5 years.
Advance Parole (Travel Authorization) not issued (adjustment application approved beforehand).
INTERVIEW LOCATION:
Pursuant to its new policy of no longer waiving the interview requirement, the applicant and petitioner were interviewed by the USCIS Chicago Field Office in August 2025.
USCIS approved the Applicant’s I-485 Adjustment of Status application, and issued their green card in Aug. 2025.
PROCESSING TIME:
Approx. 7 months after filing.
