USCBP Update: Preclearance Now At Billy Bishop
Effective March 10, 2026, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) will begin U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance operations.
This means that individuals traveling from Billy Bishop to the U.S. will be inspected by USCBP officers prior to their flight to the U.S.
Additionally, Canadian citizens traveling to the U.S. through Billy Bishop in order to apply for TN or L-1 visa status will now have their applications reviewed at Billy Bishop instead of in the U.S.
